Hey Everyone!! Corky had his amputation last week and has been doing really well! He was on a topical fentanyl that lasted 4 days after application so he was pretty pain free for those days. The pain is defenitly starting to creep up on him and he is slower and more cautious the last few days. He is on rimadyl and gabapentin for the nerve pain and we recetnly raised his dose of gabapentin to try and fight off some lingering pain. He goes in to have the bandage removed and for a check up tomorrow so I will post more pictures then. He is doing great on three legs and can’t wait to see what he can do at full speed!

Corky’s First Post
Hi my name is Corky!!
I am a 11 month old boy and I have whatâs known as âclaw footâ (Itâs really Ectrodactyly but my dad canât pronounce it so I keep it easy for him). People keep telling me that it is cute and that I am adorable but it really hurts me and I donât use it very much. I canât remember where I was born because I keep getting moved into different shelters but I did love living on a farm for a little while and getting to play with all the animals. My new dad just adopted me a few days ago and took me to a really nice vet who is going to help me with my leg!! They even took some pictures!
The vet told me that he can make my pain go away by removing my leg and I am really excited about that! I would love to be able to run and play with my brother Sam! I am really looking forward to having my surgery and keeping you all updated about my adventures!
